About Us

A company built on patience, not pressure

Khao Finance was founded in Bangkok to serve a community that has been largely overlooked by digital finance education — adults who are thoughtful, experienced, and want to learn on their own terms.

Our Story

How Khao Finance came to be

Khao Finance began with a simple observation: financial education in Thailand was moving quickly toward digital formats and digital topics, but the materials being produced were aimed almost entirely at younger users. Adults in their forties, fifties, and sixties — people with steady financial histories, family responsibilities, and genuine curiosity — were finding very little that addressed them with appropriate care.

Our founders, who between them hold backgrounds in adult education, financial planning, and consumer protection advocacy, started by running small reading groups in Bangkok. The conversations in those rooms — careful, honest, sometimes cautious — shaped everything that followed. The programs we offer today are a direct extension of what participants in those early groups told us they needed.

The name Khao, the Thai word for hill or mountain, is a deliberate choice. A hill path rises steadily. It requires attention and a sensible pace. It offers a clear view the further you go. That steady, considered ascent is how we think about financial understanding — not as a race, but as a gradual widening of perspective.

We are based in Bangkok and serve learners across Thailand. Our programs are available online so that geography is not a barrier. Our team communicates directly with every enrolled learner and maintains a response commitment of one business day.

Our Mission

To make financial literacy in the digital era accessible to adults in their forties and beyond — through programs that honour their experience, acknowledge their questions, and advance their understanding without pressure.

Our Values

  • Honesty about complexity. Digital finance is genuinely complicated. We say so.
  • Respect for the learner. You have decades of financial experience. We treat that as real knowledge.
  • Care over urgency. Nothing in our materials is designed to move you faster than you are ready to go.
  • Family awareness. Financial decisions in this stage of life rarely affect only one person. We keep that in view.

Founded in Bangkok

Our office and team are based at New Petchaburi Road, Bang Kapi — a neighbourhood that sits between Bangkok's commercial centre and its quieter residential areas, much like the space we try to hold between financial complexity and everyday life.

Our Standards

How we maintain the quality of our programs

Curriculum review cycle

Program material is reviewed every six months against current Thai regulatory changes and shifts in the digital finance landscape. Enrolled learners are notified of material updates.

Data protection practices

Learner information is handled in accordance with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). We do not share learner data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Regulatory alignment

Content touching on digital assets and investment platforms is cross-checked against current SEC Thailand and Bank of Thailand guidance to ensure accuracy and appropriate framing.

No affiliate arrangements

We do not receive fees or commissions from financial platforms, exchanges, or investment products. Our educators are free to present content without commercial influence.

Learner feedback integration

Every enrolled learner is invited to complete a structured reflection at the end of each program. Patterns in that feedback directly inform future iterations of the material.

Communication commitment

We respond to all enquiries and learner messages within one business day. Where a question requires additional consideration, we say so and give a clear timeline.

Our Approach

Financial knowledge for adults who have earned the right to understand it

Digital banking, digital assets, and technology-mediated investing have changed the landscape of personal finance considerably over the past decade. For adults in their forties and fifties in Thailand, this shift has come during a period already full of financial consideration — property, retirement, children's education, the care of older family members. The arrival of digital finance has added a new layer of terminology and complexity to an already demanding picture.

Khao Finance exists to make that layer manageable. Our programs are not built around the assumption that digital finance is something you should be enthusiastic about — only that it is something you deserve to understand clearly. Whether a learner decides to engage with digital accounts and platforms or to remain with traditional arrangements after completing a program is a personal decision we hold no view on.

What we offer is the clarity to make that decision from a position of knowledge rather than confusion. We cover what digital assets are, what makes them different from other financial instruments, how Thai law and regulation currently approaches them, and what practical safety measures are available to protect against the scam patterns that target older adults in this environment. For learners who want to go further, our comprehensive program extends to account architecture, family planning, and the longer-view questions that arise when digital holdings interact with estate and inheritance considerations.

Our educators bring backgrounds in adult education, consumer protection, and financial planning. None of our programs is a substitute for personalised financial or legal advice, and we say so clearly. We are educators, and education is the scope of what we provide.
